Must we have a home church? I stand on going where God leads me. The church isn't a country club with member priviledges and restrictions. It's a living, breathing entity. Certainly if you're being blessed by your "home" church then you should give back in some way and form close relationships with people there, but there is nothing in the Bible that forbids me to fellowship in other ways. If you are being bullied or are attending a Church where there is a brutish pastor, then by all means go some where else, or do something necessary for your family. Some people have had Bible studies at various places in addition to attending church, with a different crowd of people, only because "my" church at the time didn't offer what I had on my heart to do, plus there were people there who didn't attend "my" church that I wanted to fellowship with. So what?
It's not a black-and-white thing. Could you imagine Peter forbidding someone to attend Paul's Church? Could you imagine jealousy among the apostles? Why would there be rivalry in any way? We are to be one Body serving one God.
